Understanding the importance of your time and attention in our information-rich world, here are

10 facts about me:
1. I am "Germanian", as my Canadian friends like to say. Born and raised in Germany, I live in Canada since 2015;
2. Before that, I have also lived in Mexico and the Netherlands, and spent 1 month in Egypt for an internship;
3. My previous role was the sweetest job in the world (literally) as I built the marketing department of a fine artisan chocolate maker & chocolatier;
4. I have an insatiable curiosity for learning and have developed a passion for delivering exceptional customer and user experiences, as well as understanding the 'why' behind consumer behaviour;
5. I recently fulfilled my dream of earning a Master of Science degree with focus on marketing and consumer research;
6. I am a Research assistant at the first neuroscience based management research lab at Toronto Metropolitan University;
7. For my Master's thesis, I examined whether service robots can elicit customer empathy in service recovery interactions and the impacts robot-driven service recovery interactions have on customers' future behavioural intentions;
8. I enjoy taking long walks with our Sealyham Terrier Winston, explore Toronto's parks and the surroundings of Lake Ontario;
9. My goal is to help bridge the gap between marketing and service management science and practice, in interpreting and using findings from academic research for marketing practice;
10. I enjoy connecting (with) people, to spark collaboration and inspiration (one of the reasons I became VP of the student association and GradMentor). So whether you just want to say hi, connect over common interests or want to know more about me, feel free to send me a message :)

A Note on my Portfolio
I learned about visual design principles and tools at NAIT, the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, and basic markup language skills (HTML, CSS) through online courses. My aim was not to pursue a career as a graphic designer or front-end developer, but rather to understand the common language of designers and web developers, facilitating more effective communication within cross-functional teams.
I thrive on challenges that demand a blend of creative and analytical thinking, which led me to discover my interest for CX/UX research and design. Among my most fulfilling projects was spearheading the migration of the JACEK Chocolate website from Wordpress/WooCommerce to Shopify and independently constructing a new Shopify store for the JACEK Chocolate Advent Calendar 2021. If you are curious, you can read more about these projects here.
My Vision
Behavioural scientists and CX/UX experts often emphasize that "everything matters" in comprehending customers and crafting experiences. With a passion for creativity, research, and emerging technologies coupled with an entrepreneurial and human-centric mindset, I aim for finding the sweetspot between the customers' desires and the business' vision, goals, and capabilities to drive growth and relevance. Drawing upon insights from academic marketing, service research, and customer feedback, I seek to enhance the customer journey and foster emotional connections, thereby nurturing sustainable relationships.
